This pleasant murder mystery takes place in Mallorca, a location where English author Jeffries has resided. Seeking solace from a recent tragedy in England, John Tatham arranges a visit to his Aunt Alvina, who dies unexpectedly. Inspector Alvarez begins to investigate, and Patrick Tull's appealing narration lures us into the controversy therein. Tull's rich English accent projects the characters' greed, deceit, and contradiction with a splendor we've come to expect from him. Always enjoyable, Tull challenges the listener to pay keen attention to his often quickly articulated narration. B.J.L. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
