Grade 3-5-- Here are some Cookies to go with your Ice Cream (Macmillan, 1988). The model used to describe the production and distribution of Ben & Jerry's ice cream is repeated at a Famous Amos chocolate-chip cookie factory in Georgia. After an introduction to entrepreneur Wally Amos, readers are taken on a factory tour, complete with the source and production of the flour and the Ghirardelli chocolate chips used in the cookies. There are plenty of helpful black-and-white photographs; missing, however, are the line drawings of various machines that added clarity to the making of ice cream in the earlier book.
