The Theory chapters provide the student with an understanding of how these systems work, terminology, and the variety of systems that can be found. The Service and Repair chapters complete the coverage of each area by describing how to maintain , diagnose, repair, and adjust the unit. These service procedures follow guidelines recommended by SAE, MACS, IMACA and most vehicle manufacturers.
About the Author:
Tom Birch is an Emeritus at Yuba College. He is a member of several organizations, such as, the past president of California Automotive Teachers (CAT), the past board member of North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT), Service Technicians Society (STS), Automotive Service Council ( ASC-CA), Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS), and the International Mobile Air Conditioning Association (IMACA).
