About the Authors A native of North Carolina, Darwin Porter was a bureau chief for the Miami Herald when he was 21, and later worked in television advertising. A veteran writer, he's the author of numerous best-selling Frommer's travel guides, notably to England, France, Germany, Italy, and the Caribbean. Working with Darwin is Danforth Prince, formerly of the Paris bureau of the New York Times.
