Depth of theoretical content combined with current events and policy debates makes The World Economy an excellent choice for a broad range of trade and finance courses with an international economic focus. The authors present the tools of international economic analysis in a consistently comprehensive manner to establish the theoretical principles that are key in analysing international economic problems. Numerous graphs and charts help students navigate difficult financial material, and in-text examples and case studies focus on current events and policy debates providing real-life perspective to the economic theories driving trade and finance. Features: * Tools of international economic analysis are presented in a consistently comprehensive manner to establish the theoretical principles that are the key in analyzing international economic problems. * General trade issues including the political economy of trade policy and borders are placed ahead of more specialized concerns like growth, immigration and transition. * Numerous graphs and charts help students navigate through difficult financial material while the book's outline provides a clear road map to each chapter. * In-text examples and "Case Studies" focusing on current events and policy debates provide real-life correlations to the economic theories driving trade and finance.
