Grade 3-5-- After her first three years of school during which her excessive enthusiasm has not been appreciated or understood, Jackie finally has a teacher who likes her for who she is. But there are two problems: one is her father, who wants her to be a better student and more athletic; the other is Ms. Sugarman herself, who leaves the classroom to become interim principal when the position suddenly becomes vacant.
