About the Author:

Dr. Ajoy Kumar Ray received his B.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication) from B.E. College, Shibpur and M. Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur. Currently, he is a Professor in the Electronics and ECE Department, IIT Karagpur and the Chairman of Nehru Museum of Science and Technology, IIT Kharagpur. He has authored 4 books and published more than 80 papers in various international and national journals and conferences. He is also an inventor with 4 US patents and 3 patents in the pipeline. He has successfully completed 15 research projects sponsored by various national and multinational agencies like Intel. His research interests include Image Processing, Machine Intelligence and Microprocessor-based System Design. Dr. K.M.Bhurchandi received his B.E and M.E. degrees in Electronics with distinction from Shri Guru Gobind Singhaji College of Engineering and Technology, Nanded, Maharashtra in 1990 and 1992 respectively. He then went on to receive his Ph.D. from Nagpur University in 2004. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College, Nagpur, Maharashtra. He has a conslultant and has successfully completed various projects in the field of weighing systems. His current research interests are in Microprocessor-based System Design, Neuro-fuzzy Computing Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition.
