Jean Perron is one of the few coaches ever to win a Stanley Cup in his rookie season; a feat he achieved with the Montreal Canadiens, the team he coached from 1985 to 1988. After being named assistant general manager for the Quebec Nordiques, he finished the season as head coach in 1998-89. He obtained his Master's Degree in Physical Education from Michigan State University in 1973, and now works as a sports commentator for CJRP radio in Quebec City.
Normand Chouinard, Professor of Physical Education at the University of Ottawa, has almost twenty years of teaching and coaching experience in ice hockey. He is an instructor in the National Coaching Certification Program and Best Ever Program and a Master Coach at the National Coaching Institute. Norm completed his Doctoral Degree in Physical Education at Illinois State University in 1979 and has continued his research activities both in the area of ice hockey and coaching. Norm is presently an assistant to the coaches of the Ottawa Senators.
