McGraw-Hill Connect Chemistry is a web-based assignment and assessment platform that gives students the means to better connect with their coursework, with their instructors, and with the important concepts that they need to know for success now and in the future. What’s in Connect Chemistry?

  • End-of-chapter problems - from the McGraw-Hill book in use or any McGraw-Hill chemistry title which is delivered in an auto-gradable format and tied to the textbooks learning objectives. Connect also provides automatic grading and feedback to both students and instructors.
  • Interactive Conceptual Problems: Conceptual question banks contain assignable content that is authored with a heavy emphasis on utilization of pure concepts to solve problems. A notable hallmark of our conceptual question bank is that the content is more visually dynamic. Students directly interact with screen objects.
  • Adaptive Learning -LearnSmart™- No two students are alike. McGraw-Hill LearnSmart™ is an intelligent learning system that uses a series of probing questions to pinpoint each student’s knowledge gaps. LearnSmart then provides an optimal learning path for each student, so that they spend less time in areas they already know and more time in areas they don’t. The result is LearnSmart’s adaptive learning path helps students retain more knowledge, learn faster, and study more efficiently.
  • ChemDraw: McGraw-Hill has teamed up with PerkinElmer, the makers of ChemDraw, to bring the power and intuition of the ChemDraw software into the learning space. Our digital content libraries boast thousands of question templates that utilize a ChemDraw palette where students can input their responses by drawing molecular or ionic structures directly into their answers. The ChemDraw palette contains nearly all of the tools and functionality of the desktop version and is included, at no cost, to the Connect user.
  • Tegrity. Students are able to learn more effectively when engaged with the material. Tegrity offers new ways for students to focus on their coursework. This technology records and distributes class lectues with a click of a button. Access to these lectures is available anytime and anyplace by computer, or mobile device.
  • Blackboard®, the Web-based course-management system, has partnered with McGraw-Hill to better allow students and faculty to use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face teaching. Blackboard features exciting social learning and teaching tools that foster more logical, visually impactful, and active learning opportunities for students. You’ll transform your closed-door classrooms into communities where students remain connected to their educational experience twenty-four hours a day.
