This book is intended for oncologists, pharmacologists, biochemists, biomathematicians, and cell biologists in academia as well as in industry; graduate, medical, and senior undergraduate students in the biological sciences. This is the first book to describe the principles of cancer chemotherapy quantitatively, using computer modelling. It includes a computer program on disk that allows the user to model tumour biology and drug effects. This ability to treat imaginary tumours with imaginary drugs and to change the properties of each makes it possible to use a trial and error approach to the understanding of the principles of chemotherapy.
