It means instilling life-long principles--character, sportsmanship, loyalty, fitness--that athletes will carry with them off the field and beyond their playing days. In Successful Coaching, Rainer Martens provides all coaches--whether they coach youth sports or world-class athletes--with an enlightening resource that will enable them to make a positive difference in the lives of their athletes."

With Successful Coaching, Rainer Martens challenges coaches to put forth an equal, if not greater effort in developing the skills necessary to be an effective leader, motivator, communicator, and teacher. I highly recommend Successful Coaching to all coaches, regardless of sport."
