About the Author Sonia Weiss can tell you everything you need to know about collecting antiques. A reporter Wand writer for more than 20 years, she was raised around porcelains, glass, and contemporary art, all passionately collected by her parents. As a young adult, Sonia collected antique cameras and Depression glass. She is still an avid collector of items from the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods, including art glass, pottery, beaded purses, and boxes in various media. Sonia has written many articles on collectibles for Joy of Collecting magazine in addition to a number of feature stories on antiques and the people who collect them.
