Second Exodus - Softcover

9780965712521: Second Exodus

Synopsis

A Jewish convert to Catholicism examines the Christian faith as the fulfillment of Judaism. Barrack demonstrates the beautiful harmony between the Old and New Testaments, and says of the Catholic Church that it is "the Synagogue transformed by the Messiah." Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah or annointed one of God, who fulfills the mission of the Jews to prepare the world for its redemption.

About the Author

Marty Barrack was born and raised in a Bronx neighborhood so Jewish it had four synagogues. God, however, prepared him early. At the age of ten he became good friends with a Catholic boy. At 18, as an amateur radio operator, he met and was befriended by several Franciscan friars. At 24 he married Irene, a devout Catholic. Twenty years later, the Lord Jesus began to call. Disconcerted, Marty spent three years wandering in a spiritual wilderness. A startling revelation by the Holy Spirit finally allowed him to see the light and at age 46 he became a Catholic. Now, ten years later, he has completed his gift to Jesus: Second Exodus.
