Offered here in AS NEW condition is the Deluxe Limited Edition of Candida Höfer's "Weimar," published in 2007 by Schermer/Mosel. This special edition of "Weimar," limited to just 100 copies, is a hardcover volume of gray paper boards with titles stamped in black on spine and pictorial dust jacket, measuring 12.25 x 10 inches and including 39 color plates in 104 pages. The book is hand-numbered on a book plate fixed to the front endpaper. Also included, in its own separate green cloth folio, is an original, SIGNED and numbered (on verso) C-print, entitled "Goethe-Nationalmuseum Weimar II, 2006" (paper = 8.75 x 11 inches; image = 6.75 x 8.75 inches). Both items are enclosed within a matching cloth slipcase. German photographer Candid Höfer, a student of the Bechers at the Düsseldorf Academy and a contemporary of Gursky, Struth, and Hutte, has been concentrating consistently on public interior spaces for decades now. The volume features essays in English by Gerda Wendermann and Wulf Kirsten, and it was published to coincide with the 2007-2008 exhibitions at the Neues Museum, Weimar, and Stiftung Schloss und Park, Benrath.
