Synopsis: The Alchemy of the Desert is the result of a lifetime of experiencing the healing power of nature. The author was guided by the spirit of the desert to create powerful flower essences and use them with herself and others to find emotional well-being and self-awareness.

This book is a detailed guide to using desert flower essences. It contains in-depth descriptions of the healing effects of one hundred sixty-six desert flower essences, and has an extensive cross reference section.

This is an essential book for professionals or self-help users, whether you are a beginner or experienced in flower essence therapy.

This second edition has been revised and includes thirty-one new chapters of flower essences, an updated cross-reference, and additional research findings.

About the Author: Cynthia Athina Kemp Scherer is an experienced flower essence practitioner, researcher, and the founder of Desert Alchemy. In 1983, while in the midst of a transformational life experience, she was inspired by nature to begin co-creating flower essences from the Arizona Deserts. Her relationship to nature fostered deep healing experience that provided the foundation for her years of research.

She lives in Tucson, Arizona, with her husband, and spends most of her time devoted to her flower essence therapy practice, educational endeavors, and writing.

Since 1986, one of Cynthia's great loves has been sharing in workshops about her experiences in using flower essences and her ever-deepening relationship with nature. She teaches at various schools, universities, and in workshop settings. She welcomes feedback, experiential stories and case histories using desert flower essences.
