About the Author: Born in Brooklyn New York and raised in the Virgin Islands, Charles D. Roper is an artist with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters in Business. The inspiration for this story came from a combination of original artwork and stories he would tell to young hospitalized children. Stories made the more special when they brought smiles on the young faces of children struggling with varying types of behavioral disorders. In most of his stories, the author attempts to invoke the reader to deep thought by stimulating the imagination with images and emotions that will hopefully span the spectrum of the readers psyche. Many of the characters in this story are not extreme, but patterned after true to life figures that though sometime villainous to one, may prove gracious to another. He once aspired to become a minister, but recognized his independent style of thinking often made him considered too controversial for many. It is the same pattern of thinking that is incorporated in his writing, which often shows more than one side of controversial figures, as well as ideas often considered taboo. Many of the characters, beloved or hated are sure to conjure up images of persons to which the reader is already acquainted.
