Publisher's blue cloth binding with gilt lettering, chipping at top and base of spine, bending at corners. 81 pages with index and 43 illustrations, complete. Some of the pages have tears. Mission San Carlos Borromeo del rio Carmelo, now known as the Carmel mission, was the second of the California mission, founded in 1770. It is located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
