We try to carry a varied stock but will always have an emphasis on nautical/maritime books both practical, historical and fictional. One of our other specialities is ART and we have the books previously owned by the late Mary Spencer Watson - sculptress and artist and daughter of George Spencer Watson RA.
Our books are not picked from the shelves by robots or packed by automatons - we are a husband and wife business with a passion for books! Our stock is hand picked - if a book is not up to our standard then it is discarded - we are here to offer the very best service we can, so do please contact us. Wherever possible possible the photograph you see is the ACTUAL book you are purchasing and if you want any further pictures then please just email us.
OUR SHIPPING RATES ARE BASED ON BOOKS WEIGHING 1.0Kg We regret we have been obliged to increase these charges as from May 2012 following increases imposed by Royal Mail. We will willingly refund the purchase price and cost of postage should the book not be as described - subject to the book being returned in secure packing. Payment can be made via Abebooks, or (for UK customers ONLY) by credit/debit cards over the phone. Goods will only be shipped once payment has cleared. For payment by cards by non UK buyers please pay via Abebooks.
Shipping Terms:
Orders usually ship within 1/2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE WE WILL REDUCE OUR P&P COSTS FOR SMALL OR LIGHT BOOKS - PLEASE EMAIL OR PHONE FOR AN ESTIMATE - WE WILL BE ONLY TOO PLEASED TO HELP. Some books are offered with reduced P&P to UK addresses - in these cases the price will be adjusted down before we send the book.
