Original red cloth with black lettering on front cover and gilt lettering on spine. 5 X 7 1/4 inches. 142 pages. This copy is part 1 only. Part 2 and 3 are not included. Part 1; assaying gold and silver discusses the techniques of assaying gold and silver. Copy includes assay tables. This copy belonged to Charles J. Lyser who was the superintendent of the Wonder Mining Company in Death Valley. Mr. Lyser wrote his name in black ink on the inside of the front cover, "Chas. J. Lyser, Supt. Wonder M. Co. Death Valley, 1904." The spine is slightly sun faded. A slight bend in the front cover. Pages are clean and complete. Binding is tight. Bookseller Inventory # 018004
