Publisher's cloth binding with blue ink lettering, very minor rubbing. 128 pages with numerous pen drawings by author's daughter Elizabeth Curtis Foster. The author's account of her life from her birth in Kentucky (1853), growing up on the Iowa prairie, and attending college at the Iowa State Agricultural College. She also includes many stories of her parents and grandparents. Inscribed by two of the author's daughters, "To Herman Waters with the compliments of Lute Foster Kissam and Clara Foster Bacon April 9, 1951". Bookseller Inventory # 016707
