Publication Date: 1961

Book Condition: Fine

Description:

Exceptional autograph postcard signed from Jack Kerouac to Dorothy Meyer. Written on May 5, 1961. He writes: "Yr. Letter encouraged me when I felt low about 'committees' rushing up and removing my books from store shelves, which is a violation of the 1st Ammendment of the Constitution - I was thinking of not publishing any more, which would have pleased most literary 'critics'. - So, thank you for the lift. Jack Kerouac." A brief, but extraordinary little postcard from the central figure in the Beat movement, and the author of its most enduring work. Bookseller Inventory # 3695
