NEAR FINE 1st edition in a VERY GOOD later issue color pictorial dust jacket (unpriced, moderate edge wear, somewhat faded, spine sunned). Archival dust jacket protector provided. A first edition (6 titles listed on the copyright page) in a very early reprint dust jacket, with Arden Blake Mystery series titles (3) listed on the front flap, Mary Lou series titles (3) listed on the back flap, but with 8 Beverly Gray College Mystery series titles listed on the back panel (this title was number 6). The Beverly Gray College Mystery series was originally published by the A. L. Burt Company, but when Grosset took over its publication, this 6th title was dropped because the dated setting of the story (the 1933-34 Chicago's Century of Progress Exposition), thus making the book an exceedingly rare example this or any other girls series title.
