Blue binding with blind-stamped edgelines and wallpaper type pattern design on covers. Spine has very detailled design of soldier carrying a flag and print in gold. Edges are worn to boards in many areas. Spine ends are tattered. Previous owner name in pencil on both front and rear of front flyleaf. Some spotting of the paper on some pages. not heavy. Rear inner endpaper torn-out and has caused weakness in the book at that point. It is possible book might be ex-library. There is a small label scar ,shadowed on next page.With the rear paper removed these might indicate library. Text block is sound and otherwise unmarked. 477 pages including an appendix and two pages of publisher ads. One full page for this book.
