Description:

Issues 1 to 4, and 6 to 8 (the Boletin ran until at least 1866). This is the official periodical of one of many groups exploring the idea of a universal language in the late 19th century. This Spanish journal explores the theoretical issues that would govern the creation of a single, worldwide language. The universal language movement would culminate in the creation and widespread adoption of Esperanto a couple of decades later. Uncommon. OCLC locates a few holdings in Spain and none outside that country. An attractive bound set, with the front and rear wrappers of each volume bound in. Bound in red cloth and a leather spine. Binding fine and bright. Bookseller Inventory # 110078
