Title: How to Build Mental Power
Publisher: Funk & Wagnalls Company, New York and London
Publication Date: 1917
Book Condition: Good
A series of self-improving lessons, with exercises, by an author of numerous self-help books. Perhaps even more needed today than in 1917. The leaf opposite the title page has a pie chart of Your Mental Powers, with the straightforward message "Thought Rules the World" (if only it were thus!). Chapter titles include "How to Put Your Mind in Order" and "How to Develop Breadth of Mind". There are exercises in a number of subjects, including "Clear Thinking", ""Fact-Building", "Making Diagrams", "Building Imagination". Much fun. First edition. Dark red boards with gilt lettering. No dust jacket. Some signs of wear - bumping, slight fraying, etc. but otherwise very good. Bookseller Inventory # 000144
