288 pages; illustrated brown cloth binding with gilt design and lettering on the cover and spine. Some wear to the top and bottom of the spine and bumped at the corners of the boards. Inscribed in ink "To My Mother, from Qunnie Plessner. Detroit July 29th 1887". Contains a series of letters written to eastern papers from Southern California in 1884 and 1886 by Ms Adams.
