Weston has inscribed the book on the half-title page: "To my father in memory of the trees we have studied together. / Wm. H. Weston, Jr. / on his eighty second birthday, August 8, 1931." Some twenty black-and-white photos of the state's historic trees, many of which are elms and thus long gone at this point. Book is unmarked; spine cocked; corners and spine ends bumped with some edgewear; soiling to top page edges. No dust jacket; a flap-like info sheet laid in.
