Survivors Association Twenty Third Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. Full of reports, reminiscences and anecdotes. This is the regiment in which David Birney got his start on the rise to general (Birney’s Zouaves). The regiment fought with the 6th Corps and fought in most of the major battles of the Army of the Potomac. This book had a two tone binding with monument on front, etc. The red portion is a reback in red leather so it looks just like the original. Good copy of the first edition. This book is ex-library, stamped "Friends Free Library Germantown" multiple places, the library card envelope is on the inside back cover as well as an impression in the front cover.
