Illustrated with 20 plates and 217 illustrations in the text. Marbled paper-covered boards over black cloth spine has a paper label on the front cover, gilt lettering on the spine. Extremities are rubbed and/or chipped and worn, corners moreso. Covers are slightly rubbed. Head and foot of spine are slightly bumped and rubbed. Hinges are a bit loose. Former owner's name appears in pencil on the ffep. Former bookseller's small, neat label appears in the lower left corner of the rear pastedown. Text is clean, with the exception of the pages opposing the plates; they have some offset. (Plates are clean, though.) Nice copy, digital image available. Bookseller Inventory # 002881
