Synopsis: "Implant", a medical thriller, is based on the factual history of the silicone gel breast implant. It deals with the manufacturers coverup of research data that would have adversely affected the marketing of the implant to the plastic surgery community. Revelation of this research might have eliminated silicone breast implants thirty years ago. The very current involvement of attorneys, the class action suits, and Global Settlement issues lend themselves to a timely story of intrigue and suspense involving the medical and legal professions.

About the Author: Donald Raymond Klein, M.D., F.A.C.S., retired from his thirty-year Plastic and Restconstructive Surgery Practice in Dallas, Texas, in 1995.

He Served in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. Commander at St. Albans Naval hospital, Long Island, New York.
