Book Condition: Very Good
Dublin, 1789. Two volumes, complete. 8vo, full tree calf, 384 + 382 pp. Bookplates of John C. Warren on front pastedowns and his signature on title pages. An early Dublin edition, published six years after the first. A nice early set of Blair's important work, a compilation of 47 of his lectures given to students at the University of Edinburgh. Front board nearly detached on first volume but easily fixable (we have chosen to leave as is to preserve it in its original state for the time being). Front hinge to second volume cracked at exterior but still holding. A good set overall with very good contents. Alston VI, 243. Bookseller Inventory # 10797
