Description:

Hardcover. 332 pages. Dimensions: 9.4in. x 6.5in. x 1.1in.Years of inspiration provided by such authors and titles as J. R. R. Tolkiens, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and Neil Hancocks, Circle of Light novels, and in keeping with John Marcos, Tyrants and Kings - Paul H. Kogel has poured himself into this, his first novel of The Dylarian Chronicles. In The Mage of Dylar, you will travel with Antis, son of Bynen, Govin of the Estern Forest and his friends, on a journey that will keep you spellbound in mystery and mounting excitement. Zelliach the Greys great-grandson, Sorrel, has plans for Isle of Dylar that Antis, trained in wizardry by his great grandfathers ghost and the ghost of Creston, the grandest of Grand Masters himself, must thwart in order to save the Isle from being cast into the depths of chaos and despair. The attempt had been made once before, but Nemond the Green had been able to prevent it at the last terrible moment, by sacrificing himself to bring down Zelliach and to save Dylar from his loathsome tyranny. Now, Antis must be prepared to do the same, but it will take all of his power and every smidgen of courage that he and his friends can command. Mage of Dylar is not only about magic, war and victory in battle: Its about maturing and developing through hard work and dedication to become the very best that one can be. Its about friendship, the great value that should be placed upon it and how it can inspire and drive one on when all else fails to do so. Its about courage, devotion and the fortitude to cling to the values and ideals of the family, and how they remain essentially the same from generation to generation. About the Author: Paul H. Kogel is a new name in fantasy, entering the decade with his series, "The Dylarian Chronicles". His style of writing and method of story telling lends to an intriguingly quick and easy read. This style promises to draw many new readers into the fantasy genre. He has published the first stand-alone novel "The Tale of Karryn" and now presents "Mage of Dylar" to complete the two book series. You may also enjoy reading his six Amazon bestselling short stories, published in Amazon Short Stories Program. He was born in Canton, Ohio, orphaned at the age of one and given the name Paul H. Kogel by his ardently devoted adopted parents at the age of three. Growing up, the fantasy genre was his point of interest, now it has become his passion. He presently lives in Apopka, Florida with his lovely wife Marlena. With his three sons son all grown up and doing well on their own, he is busy working on his next novel in his "Crystal Serpent" series called "Child of Promise".
