Bookplate on front endpaper. 385 pages, some uncut, with index, an appendix called "The Tertiary Man" by Henry W. Haynes, a fold out contour and glacial map of the British Isles, and multiple illustrations throughout. George Frederick Wright (1838-1921) was an American geologist and professor who published several works on geology, history and theology. This work seeks to gather together the contemporary scientific knowledge about the last Glacial Period, ending about 10,500 BC, especially concentrating on human archeology.
