Book Description Grabhorn, 1952. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Produced for The Holmes Book Company by the Grabhorn Press in a limited edition of 350 copies. A quality production on heavy, laid paper. Beautiful color frontispiece of California grapes. The binding of black cloth spine over patterned paper boards is lightly worn, with an undamaged title label to the spine. It is, however, unevenly faded to varying degrees. Everything is square and tight. Inside the contents are clean and bright, with no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. Coming to California in 1850 on a sailing vessel, Bosqui became vitally connected with the development of San Francisco and California. He was associated with the pioneer firm of Palmer, Cook and Company, bankers, and later was agent and secretary for General Fremont, who at that time had vast holdings throughout the west. In later years Bosqui headed a firm of lithographers and printers and was active in the business life of San Francisco. Bookseller Inventory # NT001291
