Shaw, an author of several pattern books presents here a number of house designs (Grecian and a few Gothic, and one Italian villa). His designs were popular in rural New England. Original publisher's embossed and gilt block sheep with the famous frontispiece gilt stamped at front cover. Rebacked with orig. spine laid down, and new red leather spine label. Near fine.
