Original carte de visite photograph portrait (full length, facing right). Card dimensions 2 1/2 x 4 inches, photo dimensions 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Under photo, "H. R. H. the Princess of Wales. Sandringham 1863" Alexandra of Denmark (1844-1925) was the daughter of King Christian IX of Denmark. In 1863, she married the eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Edward, the Prince of Wales. In 1901, she became the Queen-Empress Consort of King Edward VII. Bookseller Inventory # 15050
