Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good

Description:

16 pages; stapled binding in paper wrapper. Speech deals with the bill proposed to forgive the Central Pacific Railroad debt incurred during the building of the railroad by the federal government. He goes so far as to propose to make the railroads as public highways and finishes with "Let the mortgages be foreclosed and the rights of the Government enforced in accordance with existing laws, .". Some marks on the cover and pages 7, 8, & 9 highlighting certain passages. Evidence of having been folded. Bookseller Inventory # 10376
