Clamshell box with silver lettering stamped in purple leather spine, lettering in blind on paper-covered boards (grey, glossy and distressed to replicate the appearance of metal). Contains large portfolio with onion skin coating, and 20 long, heavy cardstock leaves folded (predominantly) accordion-style, with a few bi-folds, tri-folds, etc., and including tissue-guards to prevent off-setting. All are lavishly painted, drawn, and hand-engraved by Zanzucchi, in full-color, with text by Tasset. Limited edition artist's book, number 9 (HC IX) of 31 (HC XXXI) "hors commerce" copies, signed by Zanzucchi and Tasset on the limitation page. Corners lightly bumped; gentle rubbing at spine tips; very near fine. A lavish production, awarded first prize at The Academy of Fine Arts, Institut de France. Spectacular.
