About Poor Professor Books

Hello! Thank you very much for your interest in our store. The most important thing to know when considering a purchase is that WE LOVE books. We believe every single book in the world deserves care and respect. Even the most commercially inexpensive book in the world was written by someone who labored for untold hours on making that information or story available to the world. Because of this perspective, every book we select for sale is hand picked, gone over thoroughly, and delicately handled. The dust jacket for nearly every hardcover book we acquire (that has a dj) is immediately placed in a clear, protective, and removable archival cover. ALL our books are kept in a protective archival bag, in a clean, dry room in a smoke free environment. All books are shipped in bubble-wrap, usually boxed. ALL first printing or otherwise collectible books are shipped bubble-wrapped in a strong cardboard box. Even the least expensive book we sell gets packed in 5 layers of protection, with the outer layer being either a weatherproof poly-bubble mailer (over cardboard housing) or a 200-pound-crush-weight box. We work very hard to provide excellent customer service and an excellent product delivered quickly and securely. We are not a super-huge super-seller, so every order receives the individual attention you deserve. ***Poor Professor Books is committed to creating a non-profit entity called "The Poor Professor Literacy Project." Bookstore Terms

We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the Abebooks web sites. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase (Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged) or if the order hasn't arrived, you're eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. If you've changed your mind about a book that you've ordered, please use the Ask bookseller a question link to contact us and we'll respond within 2 business days.

Shipping Terms:

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. Domestic orders with priority shipping requested will mail in a USPS flat-rate envelope. If your book does not fit into a flat-rate envelope with our usual protective packaging, we may request extra funds for shipping, or your agreement that the book terms will be "as-is" since we cannot control what may happen to an unprotected book during shipping. All international orders will be shipped in a USPS flat-rate envelope. Please contact if you would like your international order boxed or otherwise prepared so we may provide you with an updated shipping cost.
