Book Description John Lane / Bodley Head, 1927. Palmer officiated in some 3,000 fights involving champions at all weights, including Frank Goddard, Tom Burns, Jack Bloomfield, and Tommy Milligan. These are his experiences in the fight game, during which time he became embroiled in some highly controversial decisions, none more so than the Len Harvey v  John Sullivan bout in 1926 where he awarded the contest to Sullivan, a decision that lead to the revocation of his referee's license.
