This hardcover book is square and tight. The reddish brown boards have sharp tooling and with bright gilt on the spine. There is a moderate level of wear to the points and edges, well within expectations. The tissue guard at frontis piece is not present. The pages and endpages are clean, without markings or folds. There is not enough foxing to mention, save a bit on the free end pages as expected. There is a period gift inscription to previous owner on free end page in beautiful script.
