Our Brick and Mortar Store closed in 1998, and shortly afterward we became an internet bookseller, selling books on Abebooks.com since 1999, as well as on other internet book listing sites. We also accept orders by phone, email and by regular mail. Our inventory is 99% second-hand/used books in categories such as Natural History, Literature, History, True Crime, Mystery, Fiction, Science Fiction, Non Fiction and other categories.
Credit card orders are accepted only through abebooks.com's secure site.
We accept USPS Money orders written to Second Hand Prose, Inc, for the exact price of the order.
All purchases made by Maryland customers, and/or orders shipped to a Maryland Address - Must include 6% Sales Tax.

INTERNATIONAL customers: We reduce postage for lighter-weight packages. If your package costs significantly more, we'll request that you pay an additional amount. Please inquire for more information through "ask bookseller a question". DOMESTIC customers: Priority Mail prices will be reduced for smaller books. Media Mail/book rate postage for multiple books in the same order is the standard media mail rate stated for the first book, and then each additional book is charged 50 cents postage.
You may pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express on-line through abebooks.com. You may also choose to pay with an USPS Postal Money order, for the exact price of the order, and made payable to Second Hand Prose, Inc. Any order mailed to Maryland, and orders from Maryland residents must add 6% sales tax.
