64 p., original wraps. This celebratory publication contains three items: a sermon preached at the church on March 14, 1886, by the pastor, Henry A. Stimson; an historical address given on March 16 by Ebenezer Cutler, the church's third pastor; and a sketch of the music of the church during its first half century written by B.D. Allen, apparently not given as an address but published for the record. To this reader, the church's denomination is unclear, although clearly Protestant. Within the text are mentions of the Evangelical and Calvinist faiths, and most of the original members were Calvinists. The first minister was trained in a Presbyterian school of theology. Includes engravings of the exterior and two interior views of the first church building, erected in 1836, and an exterior view of the second church, dedicated in 1880, all with tisssue protectors. Front cover is detached; back cover is chipped; the interior is fine except for unobtrusive library accession and deaccession notes. Bookseller Inventory # 101415UC
