Chicago, 1909. 8vo, quarter buckram over publisher's green cloth at spine, 416 + 460 pp. Folding facsimile census at rear of second volume. A very scarce set of documents relating to the Spanish Regime in Upper Louisiana, principally within the present limits of Missouri. Houck collected these from the originals in Sevilla to aid in his writing of his History of Missouri. This set was deaccessioned from a university special collection and shows all normal internal marks. Some faint scuffing to heels of spines from sticker removal. Hinges starting (the front hinge of the second volume has been reinforced with paper tape), contents generally excellent with light normal tanning. A good set overall, quite scarce.
