Description:

3 TYPED LETTERS SIGNED to good friend Harry Harrison dated April 27th, May 23rd & May 30th, 1974 respectively, folded twice but still near fine. One page each being about 1,000 typed words total concerning lecturing as a way of earning income which he is now short on and wishing to know the name of the recipient's agent for such; cudos for the recipient's ability to move his entire family to England; his lack of desire to write any more if possible as "it takes my guts out after 30 books and 70 pictures;" a possibility of shooting one of his screenplays in Morocco soon; the time he went up the Amazon and to Rio & Sao Paulo for a Universal picture that lasted seven months and it being exhausting and hard on the nervous system, but exciting; an invitation to California where he has the booze on ice; the enclosure of some pamphlets of his last venture (not included here); thanking the recipient for providing the information regarding the recipients lecture agency and stating that he will get in touch with them; a copy of that very letter touting his considerable background; his own lecturing experience noting the time he mentioned sex in a high school in Vasalia and the shock it caused the calvinistic administration; the recipient's ability to "auf die Waltze," that is easily make a home anywhere one goes; if the recipient knows of a reborn magazine known as BLACK MASK as the new editor there knows someone who wishes to produce a motion picture based on THE STAINLESS STEEL RAT and much more. Along with typed carbon letter to Curt Siodmak from Harrison, one page about 210 words concerning the tax relief one may receive by living the life of an ex-patriot; hoping that the Morocco connection works out and that they can meet up abroad. A nice bit of correspondence between these two major writers of the genre. Bookseller Inventory # 08519
