About The Book Women
The Book Man is a family run, locally owned and operated used bookstore with a staff of fifteen unique and amazing individuals at our two branches.
We currently have the second largest used bookstore in the province of British Columbia at our Chilliwack location and have over half a million beautifully organized titles split between our two storefronts. Visit us in our 5,000 square foot bookstore in Historic Downtown Chilliwack, or our cozy 1,600 square foot haven for readers in the Little Oak Mall in Abbotsford.
Visit our website at www.bookman.ca to view pictures of our store, our famous bookstore cat Nietzsche, and our staff!
Experience the unparalleled service and commitment to quality and organization that sets The Book Man apart from the vast majority of used bookstores. Our passion for books will amaze and delight you.
Our retail stores are havens for readers. Whether hardcover or paperback, rare, out-of-print, unique or garden variety, we select our books for quality and condition and to complement our collection, and in turn, yours. No topic is neglected in our store, and we are committed to carrying many obscure and hard to find fiction authors. We are thrilled to have just celebrated our 21st Anniversary of being in business, and are looking forward to sharing 21 more years of book filled bliss with our customers!
We are a carbon neutral business, winner of multiple environmental, employment and business awards. We are committed to community involvement and local literacy programs. We write articles for several on-line journals, as well as for local papers on literacy, and the art of bookselling.
We're sorry, but our prices on abebooks.com are for mail order only, and are not available for in-store pickup at on-line prices. We are listed as residing in Sumas, WA as we do the vast majority of our mail-outs from an American address to save on postage costs for our valued customers.
