About The Chatham Bookseller

The Chatham Bookseller was established in 1968 and moved to its present location in Madison, NJ in 1970. Ours is a general shop which emphasizes good literature and scholarly books in many different fields. The online business began in 2001. Our online stock differs from the books in the shop. The online inventory cannot be viewed as a whole, but individual items can be examined if one simply calls ahead. As of February 2015, The Chatham Bookseller is owned and operated by Richard Chalfin and Kathy Rodgers who have decades of experience in bookselling prior to taking over the shop.
