About the Author: Gary Lukatch is the internationally-unknown author of several previous books dealing with his life, travels and other incoherent thoughts. He was born before the term "Baby Boomer" was coined. After an undistinguished university career, and a short-but-too-long time spent in the US Army, he moved to California where he terrorized various financial institutions as an Internal Audit Manager. When people started shooting at him on the freeways, he transferred his audit attentions to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1999 he quit his job and moved to Central Europe, where he taught English to the people of Budapest, Hungary, for more than eight years. He is the author of four other published works: To Úr With Love, a romp through his second life in Budapest; Bankers' Hours, a romp through his first life in the financial industry; The Feline Mystique, a man's guide to living with a cat as practice for living with a woman; and Summers' Time, a romp among the women of Central Europe. He has also written many C&W song lyrics, sadly all unpublished and unsung. He has been inside an Egyptian pyramid, taunted the snake charmers in Marrakech and crewed an America's Cup racing yacht. He has gazed upon Lenin in Moscow's Red Square, been a weight-lifting champion and floated in the Dead Sea. He has eaten "haggis reeking, wi' bashed neeps" in Edinburgh, Scotland, and slugged down a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar of the Hotel Raffles. He has his name on an Olympic brick in Atlanta, Georgia. He has scuba-dived the Cozumel reefs and skied Mt. Etna. He has even taught English in Oxford, England. These days he can often be found at The Caledonia Pub in Budapest, Hungary, quaffing Scottish beer and singing karaoke.
