Trenchard was a British Army officer wounded in the Boer War; when he was 39 he applied for flight school in the fledgling Royal Flying Corps. Trenchard led the Royal Flying Corps in France during WWI. After the war he led the RAF until 1930. Good+ copy of the first edition in a good dust jacket protected by mylar.
