About Urmston Books
Urmston Books was created in November 2008. This was a result of having resigned from Waterstones after almost 20 years in the book trade. It became clear that it was more important to tick boxes and complete spreadsheets, rather than give the customer what they wanted! So Urmston Books was born, to satisfy the book buying public and remind us that big and corporate is not necessarily best. We specialise in Military, Role Playing, Erotica, Proof copies, and first editions, but also offer many more genres. At present we are trying to add our titles to Catalogs so they are easier to browse, but please bear with us as this is taking some time. We are fast, efficient and friendly, and are always willing to help with queries in anyway we can. If a book is not yet on our inventory please email and ask about it, as we have several hundred books which we have not managed to place onto the inventory yet. We also have several contacts in and out of the book trade with titles and information available. Nothing is set in stone. We are open and flexible when it comes to postage rates, as long as we are not making a loss on the postage. So please, get in touch. PLEASE NOTE: For customers in Europe the difference between Air and Surface mail can be a matter of pence and Airmail is so much quicker. ALL OUR EUROPEAN POSTAGE RATES ARE BASED ON A BOOK WEIGHING 1KG. If the book you require is heavier than 1KG please ask for a quote before ordering. Conversely if the book is less than 1KG please ask for a quote before ordering as this may be a reduced postage rate in many cases. Also, we offer reduced postage on many of our cheaper books. Refunds will be offered if the book is damaged or unfit for its original use. Any request for a refund must be made within 7 days of receipt of the item.
Shipping Terms:
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. We are flexible in our approach when it comes to shipping, so long as we are not making a loss on shipping.
